The candidate will be a competent, dynamic, highly energetic and assertive professional with at least 5-10 years’ experience in the transport industry.

KEY RESULT AREAS

Responsible for the daily scheduling and coordinating of all transport-related activities.
Planning, monitoring, reporting and managing inbound and outbound transport at the terminal and external depots.
Control cargo movements within specified standards linked to internal and external terminal related activities – containers, pallets, general cargo, etc.
Provide effective and accurate feedback on trucks at truck staging depots, external facilities, cargo movements, and trans-shipments from various depots, control and reporting on a truck booking system.
Administration of all invoicing, daily, weekly and monthly reports.
Effective fleet utilization and cost control management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

A tertiary qualification in logistics or related field.
Previous experience in a middle management capacity and exposure to the following industries would be advantageous: citrus and general cargo management.
