A vacancy has arisen for ban experienced Creditors Clerk

DUTIES:
Ensure that all invoices are appropriately signed off, correctly coded and that the appropriate supporting documents are attached.
Daily capturing of supplier invoices in compliance with financial policies and procedures
Obtain supplier statements and reconcile to Supplier ledger.
Prepare supplier reconciliations and payment requisitions.
Liaise with suppliers and resolve outstanding queries timeously and professionally
Accurate filing of all documentation
Archiving of old records
Carry out any reasonable instructions and tasks allocated by supervisor and/or department head.
Review Supplier contracts and terms and ensure that new contracts are signed, or existing contracts are renewed upon expiry.

CRITERIA:
Matric
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Creditors and/or Debtors environment.
Thorough understanding of basic accounting principles and computerized accounting systems.
Computer Literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office – specifically Excel
Articulate, good verbal and written communicative skills in English are essential.
Highly organized, pay attention to detail and have a strong work ethic.
Ability to work in a deadline driven, high volume environment
Strong time management and task prioritisation skills
Show pride in work.
Ability to work independently, but also cohesively, within a team
Negotiation and problem solving skills.
