Purpose
An opportunity exists in the Tax Consulting Division of an international professional services firm, based in Cape Town.
Independently acquires and leads assignments in a specialised area of tax; to carry out research relating to a variety of tax issues (covering the full spectrum of taxes); to compile appropriate reports/opinions/letters and other documents; to review reports/opinions/letters and other documents prepared by tax consultants and senior tax consultants; to liaise with clients, their advisors and SARS where appropriate; actively engaged in business development opportunities to existing and potential clients.

Budget management in respect of client engagements

Prepare proposal documents/ letters of engagement

Manage individual productivity

Articles, other client communication and marketing material

Assist with department budgets

Delegate assignments

Recommend billings amount and timings

Requirements
·
Minimum of 5 years tax consulting experience
·
Accounting degree plus tax qualification(s)
·
CA (SA) and/or completed SAICA Articles plus tax qualification(s)
·
Computer literate – proficient in Excel, Word, and Power Point
·
Familiar with audit software – able to navigate through and use Caseware
·
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
·
Demonstrate a sound knowledge of IFRS
·
English proficiency

Market-Related, depending on experience.
