Zibo Containers (Pty) Ltd, manufacturer of plastic packaging has a vacancy for a Maintenance Technician at our Olifantsfontein plant. Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience: • Trade tested as a qualified Millwright with 6 years post qualifications experience • Must have extensive experience in fault finding on PLC’s, HMI’s, Electronics, and Hydraulics• Knowledge of plastics machinery would be an added advantage.• Ability to work independently and under pressure with a sense of urgency • Prepared to work standby, call-outs, overtime and additional shifts when required.• Prepared to work on a continental shift system• Ability to communicate in English and Afrikaans • Ability to work as a production/maintenance team• Time keeping and punctuality with attention to detail is essential• Physically fit and able to do physical work Minimum Required Duties (but not limited to): • Attend to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.• Service and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment• Preventative maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment• Carry out checklists on machinery • Carry out projects.• Conduct safety inspections according to statutory requirements • Maintain and upgrade equipment for improved performance and targets with a reduction to maintenance costs• Be familiar with Planned Maintenance Systems• Complete work requisitions and reports and general administration as requiredZibo Containers is an equal opportunity employer.
