PL Underwriter with minimum 2 years’ full underwriting experience in the short term insurance industry, required to start asap. Brokerage experience essential.

Minimum requirements:

Grade 12
FAIS qualification/credits essential
RE essential
Minimum 2 years’ PL Underwriting experience at a Brokerage essential

Responsibilities:

General enquiries re cover, products, processes etc
New business underwriting and quotations
Rate policies
Renewals
Endorsements
Conduct risk assessment
Analyse client’s portfolio
Arrange valuations and reinsurance
Raise premiums
Upsell cover where required
Business retention
Cancellation and refunds
