An employment opportunity exists for a Unit Manager–Registered Nurse – Surgical ICU based in Johannesburg.
The Unit Manager will be responsible for coordinating quality nursing care bay ensuring compliance to professional and ethical practice. The incumbent will also be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that nursing care and service delivery is implemented and practiced within a multi-disciplinary quality assurance team. The incumbent will also be responsible for coordinating capacity building, mentoring and training.
Required Skills
leadership: 1 to 2 years
management skills: 1 to 2 years
ICU: 2 to 3 years
private hospital setting: 1 to 2 years
Candidate Requirements
Job requirements:
Grade 12 Certificate
Diploma / Degree in nursing or equivalent NQF 7 qualification
Registered with SANC
Management qualification preffered
Management experience
ICU experience
Computer proficiency
2 years experience in private setting hospital
Netcare experience will be advantageous
Clinical leadership experience
Knowledge in Care Unit or Thoracic Unit
