A South African owned financial services entity is currently in the market for a Financial Accountant. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the preparation of journals, reconciling accounts as well as preparing management accounts for multiple companies within the group.

Job Description:

Minimum Requirements

BCom Accounting
At least 3 years’ bookkeeping experience
Financial services background is advantageous
Advanced Excel
Key Areas

Perform bookkeeping functions including:
Journals

Income Statement & General Ledger Analysis

Vat Calculations and Reconciliations

Balance Sheet Reconciliations

Balancing Intercompany loan accounts

Management Accounts

Ad Hoc Reporting
Cash Flow Management Daily
Checking Bank Reconciliations daily
Subscriptions account management and query resolving
Stock control
Fixed assets control
Load banking transactions
Transfers between accounts
Forex payments
3rd party payments
Audit Assistance – Prepare audit packs and liaise with auditors.
