Lovely opportunity for top notch Accountant with big brand dealership in Lynnwood. The position reports to the Dealer Principal and Accountants with dealership experience will be given preference.Role Outline: The Dealership Accountant would be responsible for ownership of the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger / trial balance, controls over Procure to Pay Cycle, Revenue Cycles within the Dealership, and management and supervision of the Dealership Admin Controller.Main Duties & Responsibilities: Ensuring compliance with applicable VAT, Income Tax, Financial Services & Credit Regulations, and PAYE legislation. Responsibility for processing and / or review of entries posted to the bank by dealership staff (cash book integrity).Check and approval of all creditor payments.Perform and review Creditors Recons for Local Suppliers (approximately 15 per month).Review and action outstanding receivables with the respective staff (debtors’ review).Month End Processing: Process applicable journals to DMS system to effect accruals, correct mis-postings & provisions, etc.General Ledger Control: Prepare and file monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts within the DMS system, including Bank, AR, AP & Inventory.IT Control Custodian of IT hardware & services on-site and role profiles on the DMS System. Compilation of monthly payroll pack, including review of commission, overtime, and incentives for processing. Support management of outsource services (security, cleaning, printing & IT, etc). Exhibit superior customer service, both internally and to dealership customers.Custodian of company and corporate group governance requirements and reporting of enterprise statistics.Qualifications & Experience: Degree or Diploma in Financial Accounting5+ Years’ formal experience processing to trial balance and management accounts Specific retail dealership experience preferred Experience using a relevant IT platform (DMS preferred, ERP accepted)Core Characteristics, Skills & Competencies: Unquestionable integrity and ethics Ability to operate under pressure (deadlines)Willingness to assist with capturing / bank reconciliations, etc Precision and attention to detail Strong numeracy skills Outstanding customer service ethos and focus Remuneration Package: R350-380k per annum.
