Brief Description:
One of South Africa’s leading property entity is currently in the market for a seasoned Financial Manager. The successful incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the effective performance of the entity’s full finance function.

Job Description:
Minimum Requirements

CA(SA) – non negotiable
At least 5 years’ post article experience
Property experience is advantageous
JV Accounting experience is essential
Listed fund experience
Key Areas

Responsible for overseeing and directing accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, fixed asset, and cost accounting
Responsible for directing, training, and supervising accounting personnel.
Prepare journal entries and balances work in more complicated accounting areas.
Assist with budget preparations and formulation of 1, 3 and 5 year projections and financial analyses.
Post portfolio transactions to the appropriate general ledger account
Assume control of various financial functions including Balance Sheets, Creditors, and allocation of funds received ex debtors, check and authorize payments from accounts.
Preparation of Board packs and participate in annual audit
Oversee payment of Company and property related accounts.
Ensure that all invoices for the period have been authorized and captured in creditor module
Review and reconciles general ledger accounts as required.
