Controls and drives a forklift truck in order to move goods and materials within the factory

Key Tasks

· Moves or stacks different products or materials within the factory.

· Carries raw materials to the manufacturing facility and deliver these finished products to assigned distribution areas.

· He is responsible for performing of pre-examination in order to assure the working capability of the forklift.

· He is responsible for reporting any damages that may occur while he is driving the forklift.

· Loads or unloads items off transportation vehicles.

· Removing of shafts from finished rolls and fitting new core.

· Stacks materials at the specified locations in a safe manner.

REQUIREMENTS – EXPERIENCE

· Driving a forklift requires special skills and knowledge / valid license

· Always watch for pedestrians

· Be aware of load and lift limits

· Have a sound knowledge of how heavy mobile machinery operates

The following skills and experience shall be required by the forklift driver

· Manufacturing process and procedure.

· Basic health and safety requirements.

· Must be literate and able to read, speak and write in English

· Must be able to work under pressure.

· Must have exceptional driving skills

· Must have good hand-eye coordination, and quick reflexes

It is required that the Forklift Driver to have a valid forklift driver
