This career opportunity is available at Santam: Claims Services – Client response for a position as Non-telephonic claims Agent who will be based in Auckland Park .
The claims consultant is responsible for capturing non-telephonic first notice of loss of claims ensuring data accuracy and utilising direction of spend tool. The notification agent handles non-telephonic queries with the emphasis on first contact resolution and providing incident management, through appointing service providers, such as plumbers, motor glass suppliers, etc. The ability to negotiate is necessary when calling brokers and clients to complete direction of spend. What will make you successful in this role?
Providing thought leadership, strategic and conceptual direction to personal, commercial and outsourced business claims through the optimization and management of core business functions consisting of multiple business processes that directly impact the Santam strategy.
Profitability through spend direction of the personal, commercial and outsourced business claims
Ensure the sustainable achievement and collaborative ownership of Santam’s personal, commercial outsourced and business lines for profit and growth targets across all distribution channels
Develop, implement and regularly update Santam’s personal, commercial outsourced and business claims guidelines & procedures, mandates, business rules, manuals, policy wording and schedules, claims training needs analysis, broker discussion documents, procedures for claims reviews etc.
Ownership for Santam’s personal, commercial and outsourced business claims pricing tools and spend direction principles to remain competitive
Probing and continuous learning personality, welcomes change and continuous personal growth Qualifications and Experience
At least 3 years’ experience in Short Term Insurance essential preferably claims
Matric essential
Bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
Excellent computer literacy – MS Office and Santam systems
Strong client service orientation
Santam Personal lines and Commercials lines credits will be an advantage Knowledge and Skills
