Role Purpose
Routinely focused on operations management, and responsible for supporting the development, design, operation, and improvement of the systems that create and deliver the Company’s products. The Ops Management trainee will support the COO and General Managers and ensure that the business operations are efficient and effective on a national level.
Key Accountabilities and Outputs
Traineeship focusing on reporting systems and Manufacturing improvements.
Involvement in project-based assignments and exposure to all aspects of our business in particular Operations
Have a thorough understanding of the supply chain and operations environments at national level
Hone and develop leadership skills
Key Accountabilities and Outputs
Strategy & Planning:
Supporting the planning of operational management and execution re-engineering of policies and procedures to ensure they are aligned with
business processes.
Evaluate manufacturing and production performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
Measures effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes both internally and externally and finds ways to improve processes.
Operational Enhancements & Efficiencies:
Providing manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting and analyzing production performance records and data.
Engaging with COO on the conduct of the day-to-day operations of the Company towards the achievement of its established goals and of all
material deviations from the goals or objectives.
With respect to operational matters, ensure communications, resolution of issues and project development where appropriate.
Accreditation, Regulatory & Compliance:
Assist with the maintenance of the Company’s accreditation status with the different quality councils and quality assurance partners.
Observing and evaluating work procedures in order to ensure quality standards and service.

Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
BEng Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Exposure to Manufacturing, Engineering, and Procurement
1-year experience within a similar role
FMCG experience advantageous
