The Trade Credit divison of a prestige entity is urgently seeking to take on a dynamic Financial Manager with a proven track record in Financial Services and Insurance to fill the role of Financial Reporting Manager
Job Description:
Experience, knowledge & skills required:
CA (SA) or CIMA.
Must have completed articles.
3 – 5 years’ experience in the consolidation and management of financial reporting.
AccPac experience will be advantageous.
Key Performance Areas:
To produce accurate, relevant and timely financial results and provide key insight into the result and develop results orientated courses of action where appropriate.
Ownership of Regulatory reporting (to the Prudential Authority, Reserve Bank etc.)
Input to non-technical Group Financial Reporting
Overseeing of Budgets and Forecasts
Review and improve the General Finance Administration (Expenses, Debtors Control, Account Reconciliations, and Debit Orders etc.)
Assist the business the meet its strategic objectives, through involvement in the setting of the objectives, tracking key financial KPI’s and business development as required
Involved in the reinsurance and capital management process, though oversight of the accounting and managing the capital in line with organisational standards
Development and implementation with business, a robust underwriting, and accounting system for the Africa business strategy
Implementation of IFRS 17
Relevant corporate governance alignment projects with shareholders
Member of relevant Business Credit Committee’s to assists underwriters to make robust underwriting decisions.
Work closely with external auditors on quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
Ensure appropriate handling and sharing of confidential financial information.
