Junior Financial Accountant wanted: Salary R15 000 to R20 000 per month

R15 000 – R20 000 a month

Purpose:

To control the daily treasury process through monitoring and preparing the necessary reconciliations. To invoice and collect funds from patients and control inventory

Key responsibilities:

Daily invoicing and collection of payments from patients.
Daily Cash flow reporting
Debtors, queries, invoicing
Monthly balance reconciliation
Will be the main point of contact for all account related queries – this would entail queries on patients deposits and invoices.
Identify risk factors and ensure sufficient controls are in place to detect and mitigate such risk
Implement and maintain the Finance policies and processes
Assist the FM/CFO in the financial accounting and internal controls
General Ledger and monthly journal processing
Manage Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable functions for entities as directed by the FM.
Core competencies:

Preparing invoices on Goodx accounting system, reconciliations and monitoring receipts.
Strong written and oral communication skills which can be adapted to a range of audiences.
Demonstrable experience of advanced excel financial modelling skills and good working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Ability to think creatively and take an innovative and flexible approach to problem solving.
Experience of creating and sustaining a culture of responsive, timely, reliable and knowledgeable service to clients.
Ability to produce and implement clear financial procedures and evaluate the internal control environment.
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage personal and departmental schedules effectively to meet tight deadlines.
Exposure to internal audit, financial systems (Pastel) & (Goodx) beneficial
Exposure to Medical Practice, Medical Aids beneficial.

Experience and education:

BCom degree minimum or equivalent experience
Medical practice environment experience will be beneficial with exposure to the processes around medical aids.
Good financial background
