Sea and Airfreight Controller wanted: Salary R10 000 to R12 000 per month

Work according to SOP set up on every client
Work according to sales reference
Update client file / Server, schedules / problems / benefits
Understand and know all types of Terms and Conditions, as per job type
Liaise with Overseas Clients / Agents / Suppliers etc.
Making Booking with Service Provider
Monitor Stack date board / send stack dates
Make sure sufficient Free time is applied and confirmed
Capturing the booking on an internal system and sending them out
Follow-ups on cargo status
Tracking on all modes of transport
Get depot release and send to client/service provider
Prioritize equipment in time
Capture shipping instructions
Check draft bills accurately before sending to the client
Confirm bill after clients approval
Process and Confirm SOB / ANF / DROs details
Apply for early/late arrival if needed
Ensure accurate service provider invoices, ad client
Follow up on payment if required
Confirm accurate customs documents
Process surrender forms
Confirm buy/sell rates
Solve operational problems with the least risk
Process Status Reports on all clients according to SOP
Plan shipments together with the client/warehouse based on tonnage received
Produce required shipping documentation for export purposes
Send weekly booking reports to the shipper for all bookings with the shipping lines
This will contain all updates
All changes
All new booking
All vessel details
Tonnage booked per vessel/bill of lading
Free time approved
Will include Booking Dates / Stack Dates / ETDs / ETAs / Transshipment Ports
Process export customs documentation
Track and trace containers into stack then to Destination
Confirm sailing dates
Payment of landside charges to customs and shipping line
Payment of freight to shipping lines
Monitor vessel until the Destination port
Liaise with the Client and Overseas Agents to ensure the success of shipments
Apply for a free time locally and overseas when required
Monitor Local and Destination Free time, to avoid the additional cost
Try and waive demurrage costs that may incur at destination
Try and waive export detention charges that may incur locally
Always look at cost-saving initiative for all clients
Avoid additional costs to clients
Requirements:
2 Years exposure to the freight industry
Freight forwarding course or qualification would be beneficial
Exposure to a warehouse environment
