Job Purpose

The key purpose of the role is to jointly formulate and implement the E2E supply chain (CS&L) strategy to support CEA’s growth by providing excellent customer service and logistics support. This role is responsible for the supply of products into the North / East African markets by co-ordinating volumes from international production plants. Ensures clear and transparent communication between CS&L, Sales, Distributors and source plants. Matching the forecast to product availability at source plants and firming volumes/revenue in the short and medium periods, calling out risk when required. Co-ordination with source plants and shipping lines around customs clearing, forwarding, ETAs, changes in-country requirements, compliance concerns etc. Be the single point of contact to the Market Cluster managers and the bridge between Sales, distributors and the CEA organization. Measure service levels to customers and provide accurate reporting on lost sales/opportunities within the chain.

Key Accountabilities

In line with the job purpose, key accountabilities will entail the following:

Lead the customer service process with customer to effectively solve problems. Lead the problem-solving process with customer to ensure customer excellence and service levels are achieved.
Have full schedules of business units, partners and customers; available range of finished products, prices and product shelf-life.
Lead the tracking process to provide timely information to the customers, which is necessary for the formation of the order, such as :- limitations on stock availability, status of orders.
Manage customer orders with agreed terms and conditions of delivery.
Perform validation and verification of orders captured by BO. Validate completeness of SAP doc flow in accordance with the approved business processes.
Inform customers about the time of shipment, to monitor the delivery time.
Lead the order management process to ensure on time execution of orders.
Lead customer complaints process in accordance with Internal procedure on customer complaints and log all complaints with Quality.
Co-ordinate and validate input for correction order entries in SAP (specific Customer Accounts).
Manage with various departments the investigation on the queries / complaints received from the customer. Inform customer about the status of their query / complaint.
Perform all tasks in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures.
Maintain control and ensure regulations to all export processes; Ensure that shipments comply with the laws and regulations governing the export industry.
Advising consignee and consignor on freight forwarding procedure. Provide an efficient interface with freight forwarders and administer all freight logistics.
Customer Reporting and ad-hoc business reporting requirements.
Returns Management end to end (capture, investigate, reason code changes, review completeness in line with SOP)
Develop customer relationships on customer service topics
Accountable for managing the full E2E customer service and logistics function
Benchmarking of the best practices related to warehousing, inventory, transport, quality and information systems.
Person Specification

In order to succeed in this role, it is expected that the ideal candidate will have:

Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Logistics, Exports
3 – 5 Years relevant experience within Import/Export environment, including Freight and Logistics is essential
Good PC Skills (Word, Excel) and practical skills of work with Sales & Distribution of SAP.
Highly self-motivated individual with the ability to work under constant stress and meet deadlines; Performance Driven and Focused
Ability to negotiate with a variety of people, customs agents, warehouse staff, shipping companies, and customers
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Good team player and able to coordinate with people cross-functionally / geography positioned, effectively
Expert organizational, planning and problem-solving skills, with an orientation toward continuous process improvement
Attentive and accurate in execution of the tasks, with perfect time management
