Co-curriculum Coordinator wanted immediately: APPLY NOW

Supporting the development of the curriculum and co-curriculum integration through identifying specific interventions and freestanding experiences for academic transcript recognition;
Coordinating the planning, delivery and post analysis of experiential education workshops within the SU hybrid and blended learning (Mode 2) approach;
Providing support for student experiential educators and learning validators to ensure the retention of student-led recognised co-curriculum programmes;
Coordinating specified initiatives within the co-curriculum and curriculum spaces;
Supporting the co-curriculum manager in collaborating with relevant stakeholders to achieve the co-curriculum strategic objectives;
Ensuring that all recognised programmes utilise the SUNLearn LMS as primary tool for student communication, learning and assessment;
Tracking progression of recognised programmes on SUNLearn and timeously flag potential challenges;
Collating and analysing data from SUNLearn for strategic planning and reporting purposes;
Coordinating and verifying the lists of student names from programmes who have successfully completed assessment requirements towards recognition on the academic transcript;
Communicating with relevant personnel at SUNStudent (currently SISS) to ensure student names and that data is correctly captured and addressing student queries as these arise;
Monitoring and evaluating recognised co-curricular programmes and activities to ensure adherence to the Regulation for Co-curriculum Recognition; quality assurance mechanisms
and SU teaching and learning policies;
Performing administrative duties as assigned within the co-curriculum administration framework;
Coordinating the administration of the Co-curriculum Recognition Committee, including scheduling meetings, document preparation, taking minutes of meetings, communicating with applicants and archiving approved programmes;
Archiving important documentation on SharePoint, ensuring that these are easily retrievable when required;
Report writing;
Streamlining co-curriculum financial administration in partnership with the CSLS Financial Manager.

Proven experience in experiential education: experiential learning and development, implementation and administration within a higher education context;
Undergraduate degree and a minimum of three to five years’ experience within a university environment, specifically dealing with students from application to graduation;
Experience in project management from conceptualisation, planning, implementation, reporting, monitoring and evaluation;
Relevant experience and ability in the student support and development structures of a university;
Key institutional knowledge of governance as per HE Act 1997 and the higher education sector in South Africa;
Working knowledge and experience of student learner management systems, databases and online learning;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Afrikaans.

Experience of working with Student Learner Management systems (experience of working with SUNLearn and SISS will be advantageous);

Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
