Erect, install, dismantle, or move machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans and blueprints, using hand tools, and measuring instruments.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A qualified millwright – completed trade test.
1-5 years working as a millwright.TASKS:
Dismantles machines using hand tools. -Assembles and installs equipment, using hand tools and power tools.-Attaches moving parts and sub-assemblies using hand
tools and power tools. -Assembles machines, and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them, using hand tools and power tools. -Moves machinery and equipment
Aligns machines and equipment -Connects power unit to machines or steam piping to equipment, and tests unit. -Lays out mounting holes, using measuring instruments, and drills holes with power drill. -Shrink-fits bushings, sleeves, rings, liners, gears, and wheels to specified items, using portable gas heating equipment. -Operates engine lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications. -Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment. -Replaces defective parts of the machine.

climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, where the activities often
also require considerable use of the arms and legs, such as in the physical
handling of materials. -Getting Information Needed to Do the Job -Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant
sources. -Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines
or processes -Conducting or carrying out work procedures and activities in accord with one’s
own ideas or information provided through directions/instructions for purposes
of installing, modifying, preparing, delivering, constructing, integrating,
finishing, or completing programs, systems, structures, or products. -Inspecting or diagnosing equipment, structures, or materials to identify the
causes of errors or other problems or defects. -Fixing, servicing, adjusting, regulating, calibrating, fine-tuning, or testing
machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of
electrical or electronic (not mechanical) principles. -Providing documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, or specifications to
inform others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be
fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used.
