Builder – Bricklayer wanted immediately: Salary R7 000 to R10 000 per month

We are currently looking for a builder with proven experience in the construction field. Competitive salary is offered to the right candidate.

General Experience
At least 5 years + experience in the construction industry in South Africa.
Experience in carpentry, welding, paving, swimming pool construction, electrical installations would be an added advantage.
Certification
Relevant education and certificates will be an added advantage.
Recognized trade certificate

Job Responsibilities
Interpreting plans or organising for plans to be drawn that meet building code regulations and client specifications.
Arranging inspections of building work.
Organizing contractors including carpenters, electricians, plumbers and painters to carry out building tasks.
Undertaking some building work personally.
Knowledge of the standard practices, processes, tools, equipment, and materials of Masonry, building and plastering
Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the trade.
Perform basic bricklaying functions such as plastering, cutting and laying of blocks and bricks
Ability to operate necessary tools and equipment, such as power tools
Ability to construct forms
Ability to determine the quality of the materials used
Ability to rig and work from scaffolds
Calculating quantities and costs and sourcing of building materials and labour.
Supervising contractors or employees to ensure safety standards are maintained and works remain on schedule.
