My client in the mining industry is looking for a Communications Practitioner

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist internal stakeholders with the development and implementation of communication best
procedures and practices
Assist senior management with messaging for internal communication
Provide communication support during the planning, coordination and execution of official
operational events, visits and functions
Provide the Operation with effective external communication support
Compilation, production and distribution of scheduled and special operational publications in
support of the Operation
Responsible for the design, layout and distribution of all internal communication publications
Ensuring the relevance and currency of digital media in use, including a user-friendly and up-to-date
intranet
Responsible for the execution and maintenance of corporate identity standards at operations
Ensure compliance to Statutory requirements and Mine Policies, Procedures and Codes of Practice
Must be able to work overtime and do odd shifts where the need arises.
Required to perform other duties that may reasonably be expected within the Company from time to time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12
National Diploma Communication and Public Relations Management
Computer Literacy and Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced)
Familiar with principles of graphic design – please indicate on CV
Chartered Public Relations Practitioner Membership OR Qualifies for Chartered Public Relations
Practitioner Membership
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the corporate communications environment
Valid Drivers’ Licence
