SUMMARY

A Legal Professional will be responsible for attending to the drafting of claims assessment in the criminal, civil, labour and family law department, managing litigation files until finalization by service providers as per Company’s Policy and Procedure as well as the management of such approved claims that will include but is not limited to liaising with attorneys, reconciliation of approved claims and invoices payable.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties as set out below is not limited to same, any reasonable request made by LAW for ALL or demands that the office might require will be the responsibility of Legal Professional to comply with and/or attend to

Attending to criminal , civil, family and labour files
Assessing criminal litigation claims
Managing litigation claims in cooperation with the Legal Executive and in accordance with the guidelines provided by the Legal operational manual
Drafting of claims and legal opinions
Verification of policy payment history monthly
Organising referrals/instructions to accredited panel attorneys
Administration and payment of panel attorney invoices and correspondence
Follow rejection/exclusion procedures in accordance with the legal operational manual and as required by law

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

LLB degree and an admitted attorney
1-3 years experience in the legal environment
Ability to speak, write and understand two official African languages of which English or Afrikaans should be one or both
computer literate
Excellent team player
Able to work without supervision
Positive and motivated individual
