2. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
2.1 The minimum education requirement is a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
2.2 Must have training or proven competency in personal computing, including MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel/Access. This shall include an ability to produce and update spreadsheets with numerical data and calculations.
2.3 Certification in computing and/or administration is an advantage.
2.4 The candidate shall have at least 5 years relevant working experience in general or technical administration duties.
2.5 Must be able to read and understand basic maintenance schedules.
2.6 Should be able to work independently.
2.7 Will attend training as and when required to do so.
2.8 Knowledge and experience in the application of Enterprise Resource Planning or Maintenance Management software is an advantage.

3. ACCOUNTABILITIES
3.1 Accountable to update and monitor scheduled maintenance planning boards in respect of each company motor vehicle, GPU or other motorised aircraft ground support equipment unit.
3.2 Accountable to deliver efficient administrative support to workshop technicians with the raising, closing, recording and filing of job cards, work orders, etc. as well as supporting documents such as but not limited to parts/services requisitions and subcontractor reports.
3.3 Accountable for ensuring operations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and standards of the Operator and within the confines of the AOC and relevant operational specifications.
3.4 Accountable for adhering to OHS rules and reporting OHS hazards and occurrences in the applicable work area.
3.5 Accountable for the management of safety risks and security threats to aircraft operations.

4. RESPONSIBILITIES
4.1 Responsible to assist and support the senior/supervisory technician(s) at the Vehicle & GPU Workshop with the following tasks:
a) Forecasting and planning resources, including technicians, relevant service/maintenance manuals or drawings, as well as spare parts and materials, for the scheduled maintenance of company diesel and petrol motor vehicles, ground power units as well as other motorised aircraft ground support equipment.
b) Coordinating unscheduled maintenance in response to breakdowns or defects reported on company diesel and petrol motor vehicles, ground power units as well as other motorised aircraft ground support equipment.
c) Planning all required outsourcing of maintenance in respect company diesel and petrol motor vehicles, ground power units as well as other motorised aircraft ground support equipment. This shall include the administration of repairs to such units under applicable insurances. Oversight shall be based on relevant Service Level Agreements as far as practical.
d) Ensuring, through regular reviews and updates, that a detailed asset list of company diesel and petrol motor vehicles, ground power units as well as other motorised aircraft ground support equipment to be supported by the Vehicle & GPU Workshop is maintained.
e) Requisitioning materials and outsource services as applicable for the maintenance of company diesel and petrol motor vehicles, vetting and motivating Executive approval (or suitably delegated approval) of quotations for such materials and services and, thereafter, liaising with supporting Procurement and Accounts personnel as necessary to ensure that the supply chain is efficient and that such materials and services are procured and paid for in a timely manner.
4.2 Responsible for ensuring that the maintenance tracking and work records system used at the Airlink Vehicle & GPU Workshop is kept up to date with appropriate data inputs. This shall include ensuring that suitable communication is in place with internal customers of the Vehicle & GPU Workshop to enable such customers to log defect reports and receive progress information on work in progress in respect of equipment maintained at or by this shop.
4.3 Responsible for the compilation and monthly reporting of relevant KPIs and cost reconciliations in respect of the maintenance and reliability of company diesel and petrol motor vehicles, ground power units as well as other motorised aircraft ground support equipment.

4.4 Responsible for tracking and managing all applications for and the renewal of relevant licences and/or permits for the operation of company diesel and petrol motor vehicles, ground power units as well as other motorised aircraft support equipment.
4.5 Responsible for coordinating travel arrangements, where applicable, of technical personnel employed at or contracted by the Vehicle & GPU Workshop for the maintenance of company diesel and petrol motor vehicles, ground power units as well as other motorised aircraft ground support equipment.
4.6 Responsible to comply with the Company’s Operational Procedures.
4.7 Responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with Company Standards as laid out in the manuals of procedure, and Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
4.8 Will assist with any additional tasks within the context of the job description
