OVERVIEW:
We want you to handle the stock management and assist with administration in our up-and-coming IT and automation distribution company.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
The focus of this position is to keep the warehouse and stock in order, along with dispatching and assisting customers with their orders for customers. Among other core components of managing the stock, there are opportunities to get involved in business strategy, logistics, accounts and event management.
REQUIREMENTS:
Matric or equivalent.
RSA Citizen or Valid Work Permit (Minimum 2 years validity).
Minimum 2 years work experience in stock control/management.
Knowledge of stock management systems and processes.
Must be diligent, meticulous and neat, and be able to manage a warehouse in such a manner.
Must be fluent in English and be able to communicate verbally and in writing in a professional manner.
Proficient at Microsoft Office, specifically in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Experience in using accounting software with good understanding of core accounting concepts. (Candidates with experience in Quickbooks may be favoured)
Experience in using stock management software with good understanding of core stock/warehouse management concepts and processes.
Ability to motivate one’s self and can work independently to meet targets.
To take ownership of responsibilities and tasks.
Creativity to find solutions for any issues or obstacles encountered
Beneficial if candidates with experience in and basic knowledge of the IT and Networking Infrastructure industry.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Stock Control: Stock Management
Check stock levels and prompt orders by management.
Send approved purchase orders to suppliers.
Send stock reports to management.
Perform regular stock-takes.
Stock Control: Goods Received & Imports
Book stock into warehouse and stock management systems.
Assist with shipping and logistics of orders from suppliers.
Book in RMAs
Stock Control: Warehouse Management
Keep the warehouse neat and tidy.
Ensure correct locations for all stock items.
Stock Control: Manage Dispatch
Pack orders/RMAs and get ready for collection/delivery.
Liaise with logistics for deliveries.
Admin: Quotation/Ordering
Assist with inbound product/order queries.
Admin: Reseller Applications/Filing
Check and file reseller applications (Cash & Credit accounts)
Load successful applicants’ details onto systems.
Keep all paperwork filed, neat and in order.
