L.U.C.C.A. is looking for a Foundation Phase Teacher

Reporting to: The Vice-Principal.

Qualifications: Minimum requirement is a 4 year B ED Foundation Phase degree. SACE registration certificate.

Experience: Must have experience working with young children in the same or similar type of position in a similar environment.

Duties:

To be responsible for all duties as required of a LUCCA Teacher
To uphold the ethos of the school
To prepare the children holistically for Grade 1- Grade 4
To be flexible when assisting them in making use of all school resources
Continuous assessment throughout the year that can be communicated to parents through interviews and written reports
To work effectively together as a team towards the success of the school
To follow a well-designed differentiated daily programme
To participate in any general events that take place during the year
To integrate all learning activities through the active involvement of the child
To uphold the formal and informal teaching style by learning though play, movement and
sensory integration

Excellent interpersonal skills with colleagues, children, and parents
Energetic, passionate, self-motivated and able to use own initiative
Ability to work within a team
Good organizational skills
Good communication skills
Excellent rapport with children with individual needs and challenges
