In this role, you are responsible for running an efficient finance operation and developing long-term financial goals and the strategies to reach them.

Minimum Requirements:

BCom accounting degree
SAIPA / SAICA articles is advantageous.
3-5 years of experience as an accountant in an NGO/NPO sector.
Pastel payroll is essential.
Staff management.

Responsibilities:

Ensure project coordinators have accounts of monthly expenditure.
Maintain sound relations with our banking partner/s and deal with all queries related to banking including all forex payments, requests and transfers.
Deliver funding reports.
Understanding and maintaining compliance with government regulations on non-profits.
Manage all financial risk and develop early warning systems.
Manage and supervise all procurement, ensuring alignment with policies and donor contracts.
Monitor project expenditure and implement corrective action where such expenditure exceeds or is not consistent with agreed budgets and donor requirements.
Manage and supervise the work of the Finance officer ensuring that all financial administrative tasks are completed accurately and timeously.
Prepare financial reports for all donors as required by them and within the contractual timeframes and in accordance to donor contracts.
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
Ensure all documents are electronically and physically filed and available for internal and external audits.
Correct and rectify any qualifications made by auditors.

Develop annual programme and organizational budgets, overseeing and supervising budget plans of projects with the director.
Sign off on ad hoc project expenditure within agreed budgets.
