Monitering van die voldoening aan finansiële beleid en prosedures;
Finansiële advies aan die Universiteit en verwante entiteite;
Advisering rondom BTW-vereistes en die voltooiing en indiening van maandelikse BTW-opgawes;
Verteenwoordig die Afdeling Finansies by ander afdelings en fakulteite;
Opstel van finansiële state wat aan IFRS, toepaslike wetgewing en praktyke voldoen;
Opstel van maandelikse/jaarlikse finansiële state en spanderingsanalises vir die betrokke omgewing;
Hantering van telefoniese, instap- en e-posnavrae oor finansiële prosedures en stelsels;
Verskaf ‘n kwaliteit- en risikobestuursdiens ten opsigte van die voltooiing van organisatoriese tenderaansoeke;
Bestuur van oorgespandeerde kostepunte;
Verantwoordelik vir verskeie jaareindprosedures;
Verskaf tydige en akkurate administratiewe steundienste gedurende oudits;
Verantwoordelik vir geallokeerde kontrolerekeninge en kostepunte, met inbegrip van die administrasie en rekonsiliasie daarvan;
Administreer en kontroleer voorskotbetalings.
Monitoring of compliance with financial policy and procedures;
Financial advice to the University and related entities;
Advice with regard to VAT requirements and the completion and submission of monthly VAT returns;
Representation the Finance Division at other divisions and faculties;
Preparing financial statements in compliance with IFRS, appropriate legislation and practices;
Preparing monthly/annual financial statements and expenditure analyses for the specific environment;
Dealing with telephonic, walk-in and e-mail enquiries about financial procedures and systems;
Delivering a quality and risk management service pertaining to the completion of organizational tender applications;
Managing overspent cost centres;
Responsible for various yearend procedures;
Providing timeous and accurate administrative support services during audits;
Responsible for allocated control accounts and cost centres, including related administration and reconciliation;
Administration and control of advance payments.
‘n Hons BComm-graad (of soortgelyke kwalifikasie) met Rekeningkunde as hoofvak;
Bewese toepaslike werkservaring in ‘n soortgelyke omgewing met ervaring in die opstel van finansiële state en toepassing van BTW;
‘‘n Sterk rekeningkundige en finansiële agtergrond;
Die bewese vermoë om op senior vlak leiding aan kollegas te gee;
Vermoë om vertroulikheid te respekteer en te handhaaf;
Uitstekende rekenaarvaardighede, met gevorderde ervaring in Excel;
Goeie skriftelike en mondelinge kommunikasievaardighede;
Uitstekende vaardigheid ten opsigte van oordeel, besluitneming en probleemoplossing;
Sterk organiserings- en beplanningsvaardighede;
Die vermoë om effektief onder druk te werk.
A BCom Honours or similar qualification with Accountancy as a major;
Proven relevant work experience in a similar environment, with experience with the preparation of financial statements and application of VAT;
A substantial accounting and financial background;
Proven ability to give guidance to colleagues at senior level;
Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality;
Excellent computer proficiency, with advanced experience in Excel;
Good written and verbal communication skills;
Excellent skills with regard to judgement, decision-making and problem-solving;
Sound organizational and planning skills;
The ability to perform effectively under pressure.
Ervaring in ‘‘n Hoër Onderrig- of soortgelyke instelling;
Voltooide klerkskap by ’’n ouditeursfirma;
Gekwalifiseerde GR(SA).
Experience at a Higher Education or similar institution;
Completed articles with an auditing firm;
Qualified CA(SA).
