To ensure that business functions within the Legal and Compliance frameworks
To provide legal input, coordination and administrative support with regards to Indwe’s Legal and Compliance Framework

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
LLB or BComm (majoring in Risk Management) or working towards completion
FAIS Regulatory Exam (RE5) (advantageous)
FAIS Credits at NQF Level 5 (advantageous)
Practical Legal Training (preferred)
EXPERIENCE
2 years of compliance, legal and/or risk management experience
2 years legal apprenticeship or article period (or working towards)
Attorney admission examination (or working towards)
Good Command of the English language
Good reading, writing, and verbal skills of the English language
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe and PowerPoint)

Risk Management
Monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
· Improve and maintain regulatory compliance
· Manage annual renewals, memberships etc (i.e. IGF, Chambers, COID, UIF etc)
· Manage the collation of relevant tender documents for business as required
· Regular research, and reporting of regulatory changes affecting the business
Contracts and Vendor Management
Manage all lease and rental agreements for premises and equipment
Drafting, vetting and finalizing of new business contracts according to set standards and negotiations
Ensure Service Level Agreements are in place in respect of Agencies, Payroll, Insurers, Partners, Suppliers, and Business in general
Where applicable, liaise with the relevant stakeholder and monitor service levels and report corrective action
Monitor potential risk and exposure to contractual obligations and agreements
Maintain the contractual database (filing and systems)
Ensure that contractual terms and conditions with suppliers are in line with the business strategy, and report on any irregularities – vetting of all business contracts
Take ownership of contractual agreements and ensure accuracy of terms and conditions
Corporate Governance
Monitor compliance to relevant legislation, charters, and codes of good practice (Companies Act, Insurance Act, FAIS, TCF, PPR, FSC, GAAP & IFRS, Tax, etc. according to internal set guidelines)
Report and provide recommendations and advice to the business regarding contractual and legal matters
Assist with drafting and vetting of compliance and risk management company policies and charters, submit to board members for approval; ensure annual revision of approved policies
Submit regular reporting to Exco, Board and FAR on related matters
Stakeholder Relationship Management
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders
Brand ambassador – Ensure that the Indwe brand is positioned positively in the market
Maintain & monitor relevant service level agreements (internal and external)
