KEY WORK OUTPUT AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Collaborating with procurement staff to list expected deliveries
Receive products from vendor deliveries and unload stock at the loading docks
Compare packing lists to company purchase orders and ensure that the products in each delivery match the packing list
Update the product inventory as products are received and added to our inventory
Package products for return to vendors and fill out any paperwork necessary prior to the stock being picked up
Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.)
Contact supplier or distributor if a mistake is identified
Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements
Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
Ensure invoices are signed and paid for satisfactory deliveries
Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control
EDUCATION:
Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular)
Grade 12/Matric or equivalent of NQF level 4 Qualification
