Brief Description:
Our client in the Gaming and Leisure is seeking to appoint a Financial Controller that is innovative and passionate to work with the group to achieve world-class standards.
Job Description:
Qualifications and Skills:
CA (SA)
5-7 years of experience. (Gaming and Leisure will be advantageous)
Strong ERP experience with a history of overseeing accounting and finance teams Staff management experience is crucial.
Solid knowledge of International transactions knowledge and experience
Responsible for the full accounting function including but not limited to:
Maintain internal control safeguards, ensure compliance and timely audit activities.
Monitor foreign currencies and pools, debtor and creditors and timeous accurate payments and control.
Provide reconciliations of all balance sheet and statutory requirements.
Monitor and coordinate the local budgeting process.
Ensure compliance with Group policies and statutory requirements.
Ensure staff supervision, direct and reviews the work.
Prepare audit requirements at financial year end.
Generate accurate financial reports in accordance with GAAP, IFRS and other regulations.
Perform monthly and quarterly variance analyses in the areas of revenue, costs.
Provide monthly analysis of financial performance for each revenue sector including.
Report on the financial performance of the company in an accurate and timely manner.
Analyze the company’s spending, isolating cost drivers and making recommendations.
Enhance our financial processes and policies to drive improvement.
Electronic data analysis and extensive reporting.
Work with a public accounting firm to complete a successful annual financial audit.
