Job Description

The Muslim Hands SA Cape Town Office is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate individual with experience in an Accounting And/or Finance role within the NGO/Charity sector.

As the account’s assistant, you will be responsible for:

Main Responsibilities:

To work closely with the Accounts Manager ensuring that all departmental targets and expectations are met in a timely manner.

To process donations according to their intended methods; Cheques, Cash, Online and electronic donations.

To provide support with maintaining and monitoring of Departmental Budgets.
To prepare campaign cost statements, month and year-end statements.
To deal with account related queries in an efficient and effective manner.
To undertake any reasonable responsibilities as required by the line manager

Essential: Ideal Candidate will be:

Eligible to work in SA
B Com Accounting Graduate
Sage (Good working Knowledge)
Able to demonstrate working knowledge within an Accounting And/or Finance role

Desirable skills:

Good general knowledge within an Accounting And/or Finance role

Outstanding organization skills and problem-solving skills
Works well under pressure and to tight deadlines
Excellent written and spoken English
Ability to work in a close-knit team
A positive and flexible outlook
