Sportsmans Warehouse is looking for a dynamic individual to join their digital and e-commerce team at our head office in Cape Town as Webmaster responsible for all the customer-facing Sportsmans Warehouse digital platforms. As Webmaster, you will be responsible for ensuring each platform is UX optimized, functional, user-friendly, and visually pleasing.

In addition, you will have responsibility for ensuring that all platform support and development is specified, managed, implemented and tested in coordination with our various technical service providers.

The successful candidate will be able to work well in a team, collaborating with managers, designers, and marketing. You should have excellent technical skills and a good understanding of creative online marketing.

Key responsibilities:

Identifying platform/website needs and requirements
Working with vendors to implement new development.
Testing and refining aesthetics, functionality and UX.
Maintaining, updating, and optimizing content display.
Monitoring and analyzing site performance.
Updating website content and reviewing SEO.
Addressing and responding to user comments and complaints.

REQUIREMENTS:

Required experience:

Minimum of two years’ experience in website management
Basic website development (HTML) literacy
Comfortable using a Content Management Systems
Previous experience with Magento would be highly advantageous
Understanding of both the retail and e-commerce space
Good UX skills
Understanding of digital advertising

Good writing skills and command of the English language Personal attributes:

Creative thinker
Excellent attention to detail
An interest in sports retail will be advantageous
