Job Summary

Seeking a senior Fitter & Turner to maintain, repair, set, inspect and manufacture parts for Plant and Production Machinery to achieve maximum availability.

Responsibilities and Duties

Routine checks on plant and machinery

Perform planned and preventative maintenance

Part fitment and repairs

Operate packaging line

Milling and Turning

Welding and cutting

Pneumatics and Hydraulics

Gearboxes and motors

Conveyors and hoists

Basic Electrical Experience

Bearing and Shaft Changing

Fault Finding and Diagnosis

Lubrication

Ability to install new equipment and improve

Adhere and ensure safety procedures and policies

Part ordering

Basic Computer Skills

Qualifications and Skills

Grade 12 / N3 Certificate

Fitter and Turner Trade Test Certificate Section 13 or 26D

Minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Fitter and Turner in a manufacturing environment

Energetic, proactive and able to work under pressure

Able to work shifts, standby or weekends

A valid driver’s license with own reliable transport

Self-motivated individual with no supervision required

Ability to perform problem-solving and decision making

Ensure maximum plant availability

100% hands-on
