Job Purpose
To process and capture all cash book transactions through electronic banking.
To follow-up on unidentified cash book items paid into CPUT accounts
To ensure the correct reconciliation of the allocated cash books
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
A Three year qualification with Accounting as a major
Three (3) years’ working experience (including cashbook responsibilities) in an accounting environment within a Finance Department
ITS and Pastel experience as advantageous.
MS Office (Excel in particular)
Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities
Daily processing of all cashbook transactions
Reconcile cashbooks
Daily clearing of unidentified items on the bank accounts, i.e payments, forex, etc
Reconciling control accounts
Download electronic banking statement on Cashfocus
Journal capturing
Handle queries
Filing

Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel)
