Hometown Glory Trading (Pty) Ltd is looking for a focused, industrious, and hardworking person to fill a vacant administrative plumber position on a permanent basis.
As a Plumber, you will perform a variety of duties to help keep the company in running smoothly. Our ideal candidate is an efficient, dynamic, and cooperative individual who can perform well while juggling multiple tasks with little to no direct supervision.
Duties:
Ensure cost are well controlled when appointing contractors to attend to any water problems.
The successful candidate will not be doing plumbing work but will advise when investigating water-related queries.
Check and print jobs logged on a daily basis.
Do on-site investigations to determine the source of plumbing malfunctions/faults.
Prepare a report detailing the cause of the water supply/ increased water usage and identify what remedial action should be taken to resolve the problem.
Collaborate with contractors and facilitate the process on-site to ensure completion of work is done.
Conduct quality assurance inspections.
Submit final report documenting the problem and whether the corrective actions taken resolved the problem or whether any further action is required.
Requirements:
Must have Plumber Qualification.
Experience in a technical/building maintenance field.
Valid driver’s License – own vehicle will be an advantage
Be prepared to carry after-hours phone and attend to after-hours call-outs.
Plumbing reticulation knowledgeability to read and interpret drawings
Knowledge of plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills on a technical level.
Ability to diagnose and resolve problems.
MS Office – Word – intermediate – Excel – intermediate.
