Do you want to be part of a growing and enthusiastic company working towards an ambition to offer more food to more people, more often?” The KZN Agriculture team is on the hunt for Breeder Poultrymen to join the Consumer division with a direct report to the Assistant Farmer.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Egg collection. Grading of birds. Transfer of birds as required by production schedule. Sampling of birds and poultry houses. Vaccination of birds. Ensure highest level/standards of keeping an accurate stock level of PPE. Ensure people entering and exiting transit showers adhere to the strictest levels of bio-security. To follow a program/schedule of cleaning duties.

Keep grounds and surrounding area always neat and tidy. Housekeeping. Reporting of equipment failures in the chicken houses to Farm Manager or Assistant Farmer. Physically able to work. Adherence to Bio-Security and other rules. Willingness to work overtime. Poultry experience would be an advantage. A self-starter. Team player. Willing to work a continuous operation.

Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 (Matric) Relevant qualification in Agricultural diploma or degree would be an advantage. 1 year’s relevant breeder farm experience would be an advantage.
