VACANCY: Ø Driver

LOCATION: Ø Kathu, Northern Cape

JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES:

Ø Transport employees to and from client sites.

Ø To inform the Head of Department of any issues or concerns.

Ø Any instruction as may be reasonably requested by the Head of Department and Supervisor.

Ø Ensure that you operate in the work environment in a safe manner.

Ø From time to time perform other tasks in conjunction with the Department Manager and Supervisor.

Ø Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the vehicles to ensure all staff continue to work in a safe and pleasant environment.

Ø Dependent on workloads, it may be necessary to carry out overtime in accordance with company policy.

Ø Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.

Ø Plan routes and meets delivery schedules.

Ø Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.

Ø Comply with driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures.

Ø Collect and verify delivery instructions.

Ø Report defects, accidents or violations.

Ø Fully adhere to all national road regulations.

Ø Comply to client regulations, procedures and instructions when working under their supervision and on client premises.

Ø Check tire pressure before and after each one-way trip on the tire pressure checklist.

Ø Do pre-use inspections according to the vehicle checklist book.

Ø Submit all checklists as soon as reasonably possible.

WORKING HOURS: Ø Monday to Friday: 07h00 until 16h30 (Normal Working Hours)

***Due to the nature of the business, it might from time to time be expected of the Driver to work outside the normal working hours and on weekends.

AGE RANGE: Ø 21 to 40

CODE DRIVERS LICENSE REQUIRED: Ø Valid Code C1 with PrDP

LANGUAGE PREFERENCES: Ø English (Fluent)

Ø Matric/Grade 12

REQUIREMENTS (EXPERIENCE):

Ø At least 2 years driving experience

REQUIREMENTS (OTHER):

Ø Medically fit (fit to perform risk work)

Ø No criminal record

Ø Sober habits
