QC CONTROL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Establish and set appropriate QA and QC priorities/goals for the QC department.
Provide leadership for daily direction setting and problem-solving in order to maximize results.
Directs and is accountable for optimum departmental safety, quality, productivity, and training, at HCS Reworks Department pertaining to Quality Control procedures and standards
Other duties and tasks as needed or required.
Must have knowledge on SAP System, on generating Bill of Materials, and closing Bill of Material once task is completed

Procedure for the QC Department: *

Pre-print: (Before each job)

Check that stock & All packaging, matches the Bill of Material prior handing to reworks station.
Check that the stock & packaging quantity is correct and as per the Bill of Material
Check that all stock is in a good condition, and that the correct prep has been done prior to handing the Bill of Material to reworks workstations.
Obtain a sample of the rework, and have signed off by relevant office employee Michelle, Des, etc
Completion of Bill of Material: (after each job)

When you receive the stock back from Reworks Work Stations

QC each item.
Check for rejects
Check Inner Barcodes, Outer Barcodes, and BOM sticker corresponds with Bill of Material and pack size per box
Check the quantity of items are correct.
Check boxes are in good condition, replace if necessary, but remember to get new barcode sticker from stores.
Ensure stock is packed as per product BOM guidelines in a neat and acceptable manner.
Ensure stock quantity matches BOM card quantity, and box quantities are correct (number of boxes received = number of boxes sent).
Ensure that correct items are in the correct boxes!!!
Ensure packaging has sealed boxes with secure tape and placed in Inventory area for warehouse to collect.

OTHER DUTIES, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Housekeeping: Ensure working environment is neat, clean and safe at all times.
Enforcing dress code, PPE is worn daily.
Discipline: ensure that the reworks staff and Casuals are behaving in an appropriate manner, monitor their performance levels, taking corrective steps where necessary, timeously.
Meeting deadlines – Remember we are deadline-driven, and we cannot afford to miss deadlines!!
Main Focus in the morning is QC immediately during UNPACKING and QC AFTER EACH JOB.
