Requirements:
An appropriate qualification as a Care Worker. Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification will be an advantage. Previous experience in a healthcare environment will be an advantage. Willingness to work shifts in accordance with the requirements of the unit. Displays an understanding of patient care principles. Basic understanding of infection prevention and control measures. Builds trusting relationships by valuing and respecting others. Displays a team approach by collaborating with and supporting colleagues. Takes full responsibility for achieving objectives. Works accurately and thoroughly by attending to all detail. Follows instructions and adheres to procedures.
Key Outputs:
Provides support to nursing staff engaged in nursing activities. Performs non-nursing activities. Renders administrative and stock control assistance to the unit. Ensures a therapeutic and safe patient environment by maintaining health and safety standards and complying with infection prevention and control policy. Maintains quality client care principles.
