BUILDING MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS

Continuously checks and inspects the building to identify maintenance needs;
Responds promptly and efficiently to tenant’s maintenance requirements;
Responds promptly and efficiently to duties allocated by the Operations Manager;
Checks and repairs all main outer and inner doors (broken glass, open and close properly etc.);
Checks exterior of buildings and identifies problem areas, repairs if necessary;
Checks and replaces lights inside ladies and gent’s toilets, foyers, passages, stairways, parking areas. Also checks external security lights Checks and repairs all fittings in toilets (taps, basins urinals, etc.);
Checks all fire equipment;
Be familiar with how the emergency equipment functions and what the emergency procedures are;
Performs repairs where necessary and if these cannot be repaired, advise Operations Manager;
Identifies daily maintenance issues and ensures they are attended to;
Inspects minor building equipment, checks operating condition, and logs repair needs;
Follows all safety rules and procedures and operates equipment in accordance with established safety policies and department procedures. Ensures compliance with legal regulations.
Completes regular OHS inspections and updates monthly reports as appropriate.
Ensure that OHS Act requirements are effectively implemented; Ensures that safety signage is in place when painting and during wet work circumstances.

Experience Requirements

· Matric

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in related industry

Skills and Knowledge:

· Interpersonal skills

· Diagnosis and Experienced knowledge of Plumbing, Electrical and knowledge of HVAC
