Description of role:

On-road engineer to deliver the desired customer service experience. The goal is to drive
service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention and
increases profitability.

Roles and responsibilities:

Serve as the client facing point of contact for customers seeking onsite technical assistance.
Perform hardware and software troubleshooting on through diagnostic techniques and Questioning
Determine the best resolution based on the issue and details provided by customers
Communicate problem-solving process and requirements to the client
Direct unresolved issues to the Service Desk Manager
Provide accurate information on organizational services and products upon request
Ensure accurate records and information is recorded (ie. Tickets titles, descriptions, notes & resolutions)
Follow-up and update customer status and information
Communicate pertinent Queries/Suggestions and Requests by customers to the appropriate internal team
Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures and products
Management of incidents, references in line with the Service Level Agreements requirements.

Setting up preventative measures to minimize future problems Eg. Antivirus, Antispam,
backup etc

Training customers as required
Answering phones as required
Maintaining a positive rapport with clients, by:
Staying in contact with clients
Arranging appointments in advance
Advising clients timeously of any delays
Provide standby support as per schedule
Serves existing accounts by analyzing work orders, planning daily travel schedule;
investigating complaints, conducting tests, resolving problems.

Assisting projects team on assessments and installations when required
Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.

Skills and abilities:

Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
Familiarity with mobile tools and applications

– Advising clients timeously of any delays
