Development Software Tester with 2-4 years experience is required for a large technology company based in JHB North.

Requirements:
Relevant diploma/certification in the testing field

2-4 years of experience in manual testing

Development of test plans and test cases

Defect identification, tracking, and reporting

Software and/or hardware testing

Preparation of hardware and software test platforms

Integrated testing of products

Positive and Negative testing

Functional testing

Black box and white box testing

Duties:

Use existing test procedures to ensure that the functionality of the designated product is tested

Hardware and software test platform preparation

Test new changes and modify new/existing test procedures where necessary to finalise the testing life cycle

Test software as an integrated product using controlled and documented techniques

Ensure that software as an integrated product using controlled and documented techniques

Ensure that software/hardware released to the relevant department/field is of such standard that the user understands and can work with it effectively and efficiently and that no financial losses are incurred due to errors

Report errors to relevant development departments and follow up on their corrective action

Ensure that integrated testing is completed after software has been reworked

Compile a Test history file containing all project documentation i.e. Technical specification, Project plans, Test procedure and results, and any general correspondence

Support internal departments during their User acceptance test life cycle

Support internal departments in setting up and creating demonstration equipment

Attend IT/Business Project meetings to ensure that all test requirements are met
