Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

Apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel, etc. to property walls, ceilings and furniture
Effectively use brushes, spray guns or rollers
Remove old finishes by stripping, scraping, sanding or applying solvents or paint strippers
Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material e.g. plaster
Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces, such as bare wood or metal for finish coats
Mix paint and other material to prepare the right colour or texture
Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
Service and maintain all assets related on-site, which includes but not limited to doors, door handles, locks and related hardware and other fixtures on site
Carry out maintenance of all property areas in line with handyman related discipline and duties
Complete job cards on a daily basis as per Supervisor’s instructions

Qualifications:

Grade 12
N3 Technical qualification
Knowledge of industrial coating systems is beneficial
Experience in carpentry and related general handyman work
Ability to work flexible hours
Good interpersonal skills
