Assistant Store Manager wanted urgently: Salary R13 000 per month

Minimum Requirements:

Matric
Minimum 3-5 years management experience within in a retail food or non-food environment
Valid drivers license (NB)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Must have the proven ability and experience at driving turnover, controlling expenses and performance managing a team

Duties (will include but not limited to):

Implement and maintain all required operational standards as well as company policies and procedures in the store
Health and safety regulations adhered to
Management of fresh food, perishables, fruit and vegetables, poultry, bakery or non-food departments
Ensure market awareness by doing ongoing analysis of market trends, competitors and customer’s needs and initiate action arising out of the analysis
Drive customer service excellence throughout your departments
Manage people by reflecting the company vision and values in your leadership practices
Manage performance to meet operational and financial objectives
Achieve budgets and targets for the store through proactive management
Ensure smooth operation of customer deliveries
Staff management
Scheduling and assigning employees;
Recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees;
Coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees;
Achieving financial objectives;
Building relationships with customers;
Managing merchandise levels;
Managing sales and promotions;
Managing security and risk within the store;
Complies with legal and organizational compliance requirements;
Takes responsibility for ongoing personal and professional development;
Motivates and manages the team to achieve the above.

Ensure the delivery of a consistent customer shopping experience in line with the agreed service levels Manage Foods operational standards and ensure that controls are adhered to for in-store shrinkage, waste, and stock accuracy
