Sales Assistant for a retail vet shop.
We sell premium pet food, toys, merchandise and tick-, flea- and worm treatments to pet owners.
This position entails:
Customer liaison in store
Giving accurate and relevant advice and information about products
Placing orders
Receiving stock
Stocktake
Cash register task (ring sales up, receive cash, credit card payments, do returns and exchanges, register customers on our loyalty program)
General admin
Housekeeping
The requirements are:
Grade 12
Reliable transport to and from work
Previous retail experience greater than 1 year
Reside in the area no farther than Ocean View
Able and willing to lift pet food of 20kg
Willing and able to work shifts (after lockdown) – during lockdown all shifts are 9 – 5, Mon to Sat, SUn 9 – 2
English and Afrikaans speaking
Sober habits
Non-smoking
No narcotic or substance dependency
