Job Specifications:

Prepare vehicle for trip and operate ultra heavy-duty vehicles
Load, Transport and offloading of vehicles
Housekeeping of vehicles, uniform and PPE
Handle required documentation and perform ancillary duties
Adhere to promote SOP’s and Safety Procedures

General:

Contactable references for last two employers.
Willing to work overtime, shifts, weekends and public holidays
Reliable, presentable and neat appearance

Education:

Grade 10 Literacy level (Verbally and Numerically literate)
Code EC driver’s license with valid PrDP (DGP)
Valid Dangerous Goods certificate will be advantageous

Experience:

3 years of experience driving an ultra-heavy vehicle
Experience transporting dangerous goods will be advantageous

Skills:

Knowledge and experience in the following aspects required:

Defensive driving techniques
Function and location of vehicle components
National Road Traffic Act (i.e. operating a vehicle)
Reporting procedure of emergencies and defects
Vehicle inspections and operating a fire extinguisher
Maximizing vehicle cost-effectiveness and efficiency
Vehicle loading techniques
Fluent in English
