ABNORMAL LOAD DRIVER wanted immediately: Salary R50 to R60 an hour

MAIN PURPOSE

To transport abnormal loads i.e. equipment, machinery, tanks, and various other items, locally and nationally.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

· Prepare truck for operation by assisting in and overseeing the loading of trucks, securing the load and verifying the delivery note

· Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, etc. to ensure safe and cost-effective performance with preventive maintenance in mind

· Deliver orders via the most effective route to ensure complete orders are delivered according to established time frames and customers’ needs

· Maintain communication with the company during deliveries to ensure any updated instructions are received

· Document delivery, accuracy and receipt of orders by the customer according to company directives and report any discrepancies to company

· Maintain and monitor truck maintenance and driving record requirements, and maintain required documents for safety, security and quality processes

· Maintain a safe driving record free of violations and accident

Qualifications:

· Valid Code 14 Drivers License

Valid PDP

Knowledge and Experience:

6 years’ experience in Abnormal Transport & Extendable Trailers
Knowledge of Transporting Abnormal Loads
Knowledge of Traffic Regulation with regard to Transport
Knowledge of Rigging and Slinging guidelines and standards

Skills and Inherent Requirements:

Good Communication Skills
Good Judgement and Decision-Making Skills
Sober Habits
Clean Driving Record
