Mr D Food an exciting tech startup within the takealot.com environment is looking for a highly talented Mid-Level Video Editor and Animator with design skills to join our team in Cape Town.

Your responsibilities will include:
Working independently
Working collaboratively with the design team and marketing team
Consistently delivering work on time, without sacrificing attention to detail
Working with design templates
Implementing and deliver feedback from senior management and peers
Adhering to team processes and standards
Requirements:
Excellent self-management and communication skills
Great Adobe Premiere Pro, AfterEffects and Final Cut Pro. (Any other video editing software is advantageous i.e. Da Vinci)
The should be adequate in Photoshop and Illustrator (Videography skills are advantageous)
Good understanding of the digital design and Video streaming platforms
Ability to animate illustrations and edit video footage
An understanding of social media, promotional videos, and basic marketing skills.
Understand the importance of on-brand design, developing projects and concepts that are on-brand
Enthusiasm for being a part of a fast-moving start-up environment
Qualifications:
Relevant Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Design/Video editing/animation
2- 5 years’ work experience
