CompareLoans.za is a FinTech startup that provides an easy way for South Africans to compare loans from leading banks and independent lenders. Moreover, we’re committed to helping South Africans improve their financial literacy by explaining how financial products and services work, as well as by providing tips for improving their financial well being.

We’re searching for a part-time/freelance copywriter to write and optimise articles on topics such as personal finance, vehicle finance, money management and general financial well being.

We’re relaxed and flexible but are also outcome driven. As the company grows so will your potential to take on greater responsibilities and to work full time if you so wish.

This role will involve:

Writing and proofreading website content: including blog articles, product descriptions and financial institutions related copy.
Research: Products (different types of loans, features, fees, pros and cons), companies (their history, products, processes and points of differentiation) and other related financial topics.
Ensuring content is:
Search Engine Optimised (following company’s SEO guidelines)
Following brand guidelines and tone of voice
Utilizing tools (training will be provided if you’re new to these): SEMRush, Google Webmaster Tools, Google Analytics.

You will have:

Excellent English writing skills
Excellent attention to detail
The ability to work quickly and independently on briefs provided by the team
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Docs
Research expertise to mine for pertinent information to complete the tasks
Experience within the financial services industry, either through your education or through your professional experience will be highly regarded.
