CASHIERS & FLOOR STAFF – RETAIL

The job of cashier includes many things and it is the job of accuracy. They have to interact with customers on a daily basis for solving queries, handling money, etc.

Job duties and responsibilities are as follows: –

1. The first duty of cashier is to greet the customers entering the store

2.Handling all the cash transactions of a retail store

3.Receive payment by cash, cheques, credit card, etc

4.Checking daily cash accounts

5.Guiding and solving queries of the customer

6.Providing training and assistance to the new joined cashier

7. Maintaining a daily report of transactions, cash-ups

These are some common responsibilities of the cashier. Previous experience is important. He/she should be strong in mathematics and statistics. The skills required for a cashier are communication, honesty, sincerity, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

3-5 years cashier/ retail experience
Knowledge of POS systems
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Team player
Proactive
Able to work weekends and long retail hours

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Salary: R4,150.00 to R4,400.00 /month
