Operations Assistant needed immediately: Salary R12 000 to R13 000 per month
The Role:
As part of the Operations Department, your primary focus is on assisting the Production Manager with all production-related tasks including manufacturing of fresh, high-quality products that is safe for human consumption, within a specified deadline. Using your strong leadership abilities, you are responsible for developing harmonious working relationships within the team.
Responsibilities:
· Manage production planning
· Work alongside the Technical team to ensure that quality standards are met
· Manage factory maintenance
· Data capture production statistics and filing
· Daily capturing of stock manufactured onto the system
· Assist with weekly and monthly stock takes
· Assist in the preparations for food annual safety audits
· Physically check remaining raw materials in production area before ordering
· Take contractors into the factory, and oversee the maintenance work
· Do follow up inspection after any maintenance has been done
· Provide administrative assistance as needed
· GMP/Hygiene checks
· Develop harmonious working relationships within Operations team
Requirements:
· A National Diploma in Production Management or Food Technology or relevant qualification
· You have 3 years’ supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment, perishable is preferred
· You are computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
· You have worked on systems such as SAP or Sage Evolution
· We operate for 6 days a week and would require you to work on Saturdays and shifts
· Your diagnostic and analytical abilities are strong with superb attention to detail
· Drivers licence and own reliable vehicle is a must
· Must reside in and around the Southern Peninsula
· Your ability to teach, inspire and motivate people is exceptional
· You are a natural leader
· You are driven and self-motivated to succeed at any task
· You work equally well individually or as part of a team
· You are mature and have high levels of emotional intelligence
· You can meet deadlines, work under pressure and manage your time
Salary & Benefits:
· Annual salary of 144 000- 156 000, dependent on qualifications and experience
